Hello! Welcome to my blog.

If you’re here, it means you probably already know me. Despite that, I’d quite like to introduce myself anyways. :-)

I am Robert, an aspiring game developer living in Cornwall. I’ve lived here for most of my life, and have remained for my studies at Falmouth University as a programmer, for which I am starting my 3rd year soon.

Like most human people, I enjoy an assortment of interests. Adventuring, baking, TTRPGs, playing piano, Karate, ultimate frisbee, 80s Japanese jazz (and Sengoku-era Japan), bouldering/climbing, dancing, Lego, fashion, some spiritual stuff and… so on.

On a primitive level however, I like people, and I quite like to make and achieve things.. I enjoy hanging out with friends, and the process of creation is an all-consuming instinct that often absorbs many weeks of time. Talking to others, learning about them and making even the slightest progress on something can make me unreasonably excited.

That said, whether I actually do achieve things is… uncertain. I am a creature of self-debate, with an endless thought stream that tends to distract me from worldly matters, and emotions that can make me fickle, disorganised, impulsive and inconsistent. Recently, I’ve found alot of these musings, and their attached emotions, to be rampant and disruptive, preventing me from doing the things I wanna do. I am restless, but unable to act.

However, writing them out (sometimes as poetry) and yapping about them with friends has helped settle that. A blog seemed a nice way to do both, and potentially find common ground with friends that I’m too mentally clumsy, too unskilled at concise communication and too wasteful of time to normally catch up with (so please post comments!!! or DM me).

Expect many words, since apparently that’s the only way I can communicate. Also, unfortunately I will not be wearing the armour of Irony for any posts. Expect the emotional chaos and over-sentimental reflections of a self-unaware teenage diary. You may however mock these sentiments with irony in the comments if you wish (talking to you, Alex V).

Happy reading! I make no promises of consistency.
